Mysuru, July 25:- Hoping that the state unit is able to cross the hurdles to form the government in Karnataka, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders are going around promising good governance besides fulfilling some of the promises made in their manifesto. Given the legal complications surrounding government formation, it may take a couple of days more before anything concrete emerges.
“If we get to form the government, we will work honestly to solve all the confusions regarding the loan waiver of farmers in the state. There is no doubt about it,” said BJP leader KS Eshwarappa.
He was speaking to media at Chamundi Hill during his visit on the occasion of Chamundeshwari Vardhanti on Wednesday.
“I prayed to the Goddess for the welfare of the state. Congress leader DK Shivakumar calls himself as a troubleshooter. But he is identified as a demon. He is a self-proclaimed troubleshooter. Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) created chaos in the state by trying to form the government despite having no majority. Their arrogance continued even after Lok Sabha polls. HD Deve Gowda, H D Revanna, H D Kumaraswamy, Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah and others tried to defeat us in Lok Sabha polls but nothing worked in their favour. They couldn’t protect the government,” he said.
“We will try to take all measures to waive off farm loans. Hopefully, Yeddyurappa will take oath as chief minister soon. Party will decide on who will join the cabinet. Last time, the party directed me to become DCM. Now I am ready to don any role the party gives. The entire state is waiting to see Yeddyurappa becoming chief minister again. Financial bill has to be passed in the year-end. Everyone in the party will get responsibility accordingly,” he added. (MR/KS)
