Mysuru, March 23:- “Our MP Pratap Simha is a workaholic and he doesn’t wander here and there, smiling and posing. He is young and is liked by all,” said Mysuru Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) In-charge Dr Vamanacharya at a press meet held at a private hotel in the city on Saturday.
“Whatever may be the hurdles, we will win the election. We will approach the elections with new technologies. We start our work 100 days before the elections. BJP will reach out to all the booths. This is the specialty of BJP and we will win the elections,” he said.
“Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has challenged for a debate on development works. We have accepted the challenge and written back to him. But we have not received any answer from him. Let him come for a debate on what BJP MP Simha has done in Mysuru-Kodagu Constituency. Siddaramaiah fought for the Mysuru-Kodagu ticket for the Congress. Elections are being fought on caste lines. The probable candidate of Congress, C H Vijayashankar, was in BJP. He was an MLA, MP and a minister when he was with us. Even if he contests, we are ready to face him,” said Krishnaraja Constituency MLA S A Ramadass.
“Simha will submit his nomination again as BJP candidate. Prayers will be offered at Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple on March 25 before filing nominations. A procession will be held till the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office where Simha will file his papers. All the BJP MLAs will attend,” he added.
Chamaraja Constituency MLA L Nagendra, convener Phanish, media convener Prabhakar Shindhe and others were present. (MR/KS)
