Prime News, State, (Bengaluru), January 21:-Over 8 lakh students will appear for the upcoming Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams which is tentatively scheduled from March 27 to April 9.
Total of 8,48,192 students will appear for the exams and students will receive their hall tickets in the second week of February.
Admission tickets to eligible candidates were distributed on January 1 and request to corrections to the hall tickets was received till January 20. The SSLC board receives request to over 1.01 lakh corrections in schools across the state. Correction ranges from wrong names, blurred photos, spelling mistakes and even mistakes in mentioning gender.
In the third week of February school principals will enter the internal marks of students into the system.
Evaluation of answer scripts will commence on April 19 at 228 evaluation centres across the 34 academic districts with over 7000 teachers enlisted for the task.
On March 27, first language exams will be held-Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, English and Sanskrit. On March 30, Science, Political Science, Karnataka Music/Hindustani Music will be held.
On April 1, second language English and Kannada will be held while on April 3 Hindi, Kannada, Hindi, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Sanskrit, Konkani and Tulu will be held as third language. On April 4, Economics, on April 7 Mathematics and Sociology and on April 9 Sociology as a core subject is scheduled.
