Prime News, National, New Delhi, August 22:- Former finance minister P Chidambaram is likely to be produced before special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court anytime between 2 pm and 4 pm on Thursday. The security has been beefed up at the court premises.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) also questioned Chidambaram on Thursday morning in the INX Media case.
Chidambaram addressed the media at the Congress headquarters before his arrest late on Wednesday night, saying neither he nor any of his family members had been named in the INX Media case.
The former finance minister’s anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court on Wednesday, following which the investigation agencies sought him for questioning. He has been accused of wrongdoing, money laundering and misusing the post of finance minister in the INX Media case. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
