Mysuru, October 28:- Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (DSS) has withdrawn its stir after Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri ordered a probe into the corruption charges against Mysore Palace Board (MPB) Deputy Director T S Subramanya.
In fact, the DSS had been protesting for the last nine days, accusing the district administration of not acting on its complaint against Subramanya. The protesters had also warned of intense protests if the DC failed to act.
Bowing to pressure from DSS, Rohini Sindhuri has issued an order to probe the whole episode. Soon after getting a copy of the probe order, DSS leader Choranahalli Shivanna withdrew the protest. (MR/KS)
