Paddy centre: KRRS gives 3-day deadline

Mysuru, June 27:- Chief secretary of Karnataka  Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene Badagalapura Nagendra have warned of severe protest in front of the residence of CM H D Kumaraswamy, ministers G T Devegowda and Sa Ra Mahesh if the government doesn’t start paddy purchase centre in the next three days. Nagendra alleged that the state government is protecting middlemen by not starting paddy purchase centre.

“Subhash Palekar model of agriculture is far better than the Israel model of agriculture. Indian agriculture has its own model and it is not right to follow that of a foreign country. We already have drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation systems in India. Separate secretariat should be introduced in Karnataka. Andhra Pradesh model is much better than that of Israel,” he opined.

Hosuru Kumar, Hosakote Basavaraj, Marankaiah, Naganahalli Vijayendra, Mandakalli Mahesh were present. (MR/KMR).
