Mysuru, January 12:- Pamphlets requesting the public not to indulge in smoking in public places, urinating at public places or misbehaving with women were distributed. The event was organised on Dewan’s Road of Ward number 23 of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) on Friday.
“Our city should emerge as the cleanest city in India. Not only for the sake of award, but our city should remain always clean. Tourists arrive here from far off places. The city should not make them feel disgusted. We are organising this event as we have received several complaints of the nuisance at public places. We are distributing pamphlets to all the houses to create awareness,” said the corporator Prameela Bharat.
Inspector of Lakshmipuram Police Station Raghu, ASI Gowrishankar, head constable Mallikarjuna, health officers of MCC and others were present. (MR/KS)
