Panic buying grips Mysuru over lockdown threat

Mysuru, July 14:- People were getting into panic buying mood in the city on Monday fearing possible lockdown in the city. Major streets of the city witnessed traffic jam.

People rushed to shops at Santhepete, Shivarampet, Devaraja Market in the city to purchase and store groceries and essentials to last at least a week. People fear that the government may implement lockdown in Mysuru from Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar clarified that there is no need for a lockdown in the district and only certain areas of Narasimharaja constituency will be locked down. (MR\KS).
