Param’s DCM post challenged in HC

Mysuru, June 2:- Dr G Parameshwar, who took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, is facing a threat for his post.

A Mysuru-based person, Shekhar Iyer, has filed a PIL in the High Court of Karnataka, saying the DCM post is unconstitutional and asked the court to cancel it.  He alleged that Parameshwar has taken oath flouting the Constitution which has no provision for a DCM post.

Dr G Parameshwar had taken oath as the DCM of Karnataka along with CM H D Kumaraswamy. (MR/KS).
