Parks open for public with conditions

Mysuru, May 21:- The lockdown implemented throughout the nation is slowly getting revoked. Parks which were closed for nearly 2 months are now open for the public.

After the completion of lockdown phase 3, the state government has permitted to open parks, salons and beauty parlours. People were seen coming to Kukkarahalli Lake for morning and evening walk. As the government has instructed them to compulsorily wear masks, most of the people were sporting masks. Those who came without wearing masks were instructed by the security staff to enter the lake premises only after wearing masks.

Compared to what it used to be, the number of visitors to the lake has reduced considerably. As it will be open for the public, the number of visitors may increase in the coming days. Now the people are allowed to visit Kukkarahalli Lake between 7 am and 9 am, 5 pm and 7 pm. Instructions that should be followed are posted at the entrance of the lake.

Major parks of the city are open and people were seen exercising at gym set up by Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). (MR/KS).
