Parliament logjam: BJP MP, activists stage protest against Opposition parties

Mysuru, April 12:- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers staged a protest condemning the repeated disruptions in Parliament sessions by the Opposition parties, in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office in the city on Thursday.

“People voted the BJP to power as the development works had come to a standstill during the UPA government regime. Now the Congress along with other political parties is disrupting Parliament sessions since day one. Congress is already down to 44 seats in Lok Sabha. If this behaviour continues, the Congress party will lose more seats,” said Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha member Pratap Simha.

BJP city president Dr B H Manjunath, former minister S A Ramadas and BJP workers were present.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also observing a day-long fast today along with BJP MPs to protest the washout of the just concluded Budget Session of Parliament.(KS, NGB)
