Parthenium plants welcome you at Shiva Temple

Mysuru, June 13:- The 65-feet tall Shiva statue at Nanjangud is making news for all the wrong reasons. When you enter, unwanted weeds in the form parthenium welcome. Thousands of devotees throng to the temple on a regular basis. They take a holy dip at Kapila River and visit Nanjundeshwara Temple. But it is the statue Lord Shiva attracts the devotees. But the parthenium plants in the surrounding areas make the place ugly.

People have questioned whether the officials have no time to keep the temple premises clean. They urged the Muzarai department to take action against the officials who are not working properly. (MR/KS).
