Mysuru, October 25: – “No one is bigger than the party. All leaders and activists must actively work to strengthen the party. Membership campaigns should be conducted within their booth range. I have asked the district president to give a list of the inactive party members,” said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Nalin Kumar Kateel.
He was addressing a special meeting of the rural and urban party workers and leaders held at the BJP office at Chamarajapuram in the city on Thursday.
“Loyalty, ideology and workmanship will always be rewarded in the BJP and we must wait patiently for it. The party has come to power in the state after 10 years. The government is formed with the help of 18 MLAs from the Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress and they should be taken into consideration. No wonder Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa is under pressure in the allocation of posts. In the next Assembly elections, BJP will win 150 seats and come to power on its own. Then, our party workers will be assigned to all corporations, authorities and local bodies in the state and no outsider will be entertained,” he assured party workers.
“Victory in the by-election to the Hunsur Assembly seat is very important for the party. Therefore, all the party workers from rural and urban constituency should work for the party with unity,” he said.
MLAs S A Ramadass, L Nagendra, former MLCs Tontadarya, Siddaraju, C Ramesh, BJP city president Dr Manjunath BH, leaders Suresh Babu, MV Ravishankar, Appanna, Phanish and others were present. (MR/KS)
