Mysuru, September 3:- “Though victory belongs to one person, participation is the foundation for victory for everyone,” said Registrar of evaluation of University of Mysore Prof J Somashekhar here on Monday.
He was speaking after inaugurating university level Inter-Collegiate Cultural and Literary Competitions at Humanities Hall at Manasagangothri in the city, organised by the Students’ Welfare Department.
“India is spreading the importance of culture globally. Students are our cultural ambassadors. Cultural programmes are beyond boundaries. It is an opportunity for students to exhibit their talent. The spirit of competition is increasing every year. Winners don’t have to boast about winning and losers don’t have to worry about losing. If you continue practising, you will succeed,” he added.
“I am proud to be here at University of Mysore campus. We often hear good words about the university. We should be proud to have such a wonderful university in Karnataka, that too in Mysuru. College is not there only to study but to be part of cultural activities as well. I remember my student’s life now. Student’s life is golden life. You won’t get it again and again,” said Deepika Das, the actress of ‘Nagini’ serial fame.
Registrar of UoM Prof R Rajanna, director of Students Welfare Department Dr Praveen and others were present.(MR/GK).
