Prime News, National, Karnataka, Politics, Religion, Mysuru, July 30:- Former Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) minister K S Eshwarappa on Friday (July 30) opined that it is the party high command which decides who should be in the state Cabinet.
Talking to reporters here, Eshwarappa said, “I can’t decide whether I want to be in the Cabinet or not. It is left to the prerogative of the party high command. There is a system in BJP and we are bound by that. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel and central leaders will take a decision on the Cabinet composition.”
The Kuruba strongman said, “I am a sincere party worker who will follow what the senior leaders tell me. As a senior party leader, Jagadish Shettar feels he can’t work under his juniors. So, he has opted out. But it has nothing to do with Kateel’s audio talk.”
Eshwarappa said, “My well-wishers and seers want me in the Cabinet and I am happy for that. They want to see me as the Chief Minister or Deputy Chief Minister. As a politician, even I have some expectations but it is up to the party high command.”
In the morning, Eshwarappa happened to meet Kannada film actor Shivarajkumar and both had breakfast together. Eshwarappa who is in Mysuru, visited Chamundi Hills on the occasion of Ashada Shukravara and offered special puja to Goddess Chamundeshwari at the hill temple and sought blessings. (MR/KS)
