Pass all students, says Vatal Nagaraj

Kannada activist and former MLA Vatal Nagaraj threatens to stage protest

Mysuru, June 2:- “Government should take a decision to pass all the students of SSLC, PUC, final year degree and engineering and all other degree courses. Or else, we will have no choice but to stage a protest,” said the president of Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Party, Vatal Nagaraj.

He was speaking at a protest held at Hardinge Circle near the statue of Sri Jayachamarajendra Wadiyar in the city on Tuesday.

“Mumbai IIT has called off all the examinations except for the final exams. Goa University too did the same. IIT Kanpur has cancelled all its examinations. Only 20% of the syllabus is completed. Remaining classes are being held online. It has become a big struggle for students. Students do not get a proper network in rural areas. An online campaign is being held on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms urging the government to promote degree students,” he added.

He said that online classes can’t replace the regular classes and rural students can’t cope up with it. (MR/KS)
