Pass with distinction, graduates told

University of Mysore Vice Chancellor Prof K S Rangappa urged students to clear exams with distinction and thus pave the way for a bright future.

Speaking after awarding degrees to students here on Monday, he said: “Earlier it was difficult for everyone to have access to higher education. Whereas, today governments have provided several facilities. Lakhs of students are becoming graduates every year. But the number of students who pass with distinction is considerably less. It’s high time students dedicate themselves to studies and obtain pass with distinction.”

That apart students should also excel in their chosen field of work and try to resolve various problems plaguing our society through their learning and expertise.

Prior to this speaking on the occasion, Undurti N Das, Editor in Chief, Lipids in Health and Disease, Current Nutrition and Food Science USA, wished students good luck and expressed his happiness over being a part of the 96th Annual Convocation of the University of Mysore.
