Mysuru, June 1:- The passing out parade of the 45th batch of Prison staff trainees was held at Parade Grounds of Prison Staff Police Training Institute in the city on Friday.
Additional Director General of Police and Director General (Prisons) N S Megharikh received the guard of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “The offenders must be punished under the law and it is also important to monitor them so that they won’t repeat the crime in future. I am happy to know that more and more women are showing interest in joining the police forces and building their career. All vacant posts are been filled in the department and the appointment letters to those who completed the training will be issued soon.”
The prison staff trainees who excelled during their training period were honoured on the occasion.
Deepa Shingaadeppa Idagalla received prize in the ondoor category, Lilophar Guttedar received a prize in the outdoor category, Bhagyashree Yalagi received the first prize and Bindu received second prize in firing category. Mamatha received the award for good conduct, Shakina Begum Nadaf was honoured with ADGP and IGP Cup while Rudravva Golappa Kurubara received the ‘All round best cadet award.’
Deputy Inspector General (Prisons) H S Revanna, Additional Director General (Prisons) G Veerabhadraswamy, Principal B Sheshumurthy and others were present. –(KS,KK)
