Mysuru, March 20:- The city police are keeping an eagle’s eye on the movement of rowdy-sheeters in the city and have warned them not to indulge in unlawful activities in view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The parade of rowdy-sheeters is being held at several police station limits on a routine basis The rowdy-sheeters have been made to undergo mandatory medical checkup and then report to the stations on a daily basis.
For their medical checkup, the rowdy-sheeters were brought to KR Hospital which eventually affected hundreds of patients who had been waiting in queue for their turn to meet the doctor. Many patients said that by bringing the rowdy-sheeters to the hospital for medical checkup, they were made to wait for long hours to meet the concerned doctors.
The patients also alleged that the police were in a hurry to get the medical check-up done on rowdy-sheeters and submit the report to their higher officials. “The doctors had to literally work under pressure to meet the police officials’ demand with regard to medical checkup on rowdy-sheeters.” (KS, NGB)
