Former BJP minister B Sriramulu on Wednesday slammed the state government over the recent killings of Hindu activists in the state and said that the Siddaramaiah government has failed to maintain law and order in the state.
He was in the city to invite guests for the wedding of his friend and former minister Janardhana Reddy’s daughter. Addressing the media persons, he said, “The recent killings of the Hindu activists have proved that there is threat to everyone. The Governor should intervene and take the government to task”.
Speaking about the Cauvery river dispute, he said the state government needs to initiate right steps to settle the matter favourably.
When asked about former Congress leader V Srinivas Prasad joining the BJP, Sriramulu said, “If he joins us, it will go a long way in strengthening the party.”
Speaking about the hype surrounding Reddy’s daughter’s wedding card, the Bellary strongman said, “The wedding card is nothing but adoption of technology and one shouldn’t attach more to it. Marriages are all about one’s spending capacity.”
