JD(S) will be voted back to power in state: Gowda

Prime News, National (New Delhi), May 25:- We don’t have any objection if the assembly elections in Karnataka are held sooner than the scheduled date, said former Prime Minister and JD(S) Supremo H D Devegowda on Thursday.

Addressing media persons in New Delhi, he said, “Both the BJP and the Congress are conducting a separate survey regarding the upcoming assembly elections. We are confident people of Karnataka will extend their support to the JD(S) and we will win the elections with absolute majority.”

Later speaking about the meetings of regional parties, Devegowda said, “A meeting has been convened to discussthe Presidential election. JD(S) MP Puttaraju is attending the meeting and we are fine if all the leaders arrive at a consensus candidate who will be good for the country,” he added.

Speaking about the Rs 20,000 crore alleged benami property and money laundering complaint filed by one Venkatesh Gowda against former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, Gowda said, “All the accusations and allegations against me or my son are far from truth and baseless.
