Mysuru, September 23:- Former vice-chancellor of University of Mysore and chairperson of Indian Science Congress, Prof K S Rangappa called upon pharmacists to work with no bias. He was speaking after inaugurating the cricket tournament organised by the Karnataka Pharmacists Association at St Philomena’s college grounds at Bannimantap here on Saturday.
“Pharmacists are not like normal people. Lives of people depend on them. You carry the fate of people on your shoulders. If you stay true to their trust, then God will do good to you,” he said.
“Pharmacists have to give the medicines prescribed by the doctors to patients. They should not give any other substitute medicine. Change of medicine sometimes could be life-threatening,” he advised.
President of the association, Kaushik Devaraj, secretary Sanjeev Kumar, principal of JSS Pharmacy College Dr Pramodh Kumar, principal of Sharada Vilasa Pharmacy College Dr Hanumanthachar Joshi, Farukia Pharmacy College principal Dr M V Salauddin, drug controller of Mysuru division Shivakumar and others were present.
