Plea for portraits of Basavanna in all govt offices

Mysuru, May 8:- When Siddaramaiah was the chief minister, he had instructed the chief secretary to install portraits of social reformer Basavanna in all government offices. Two years have gone by, the instruction has not been fulfilled. Kannada Kranthidala has decided to get it implemented on the occasion of 886th Jayanti of Basavanna. They gave a portrait image of Basavanna to circle inspector Narayana Swamy of KR Police Station.

Kannada Kranthidala opines that the initiative should continue in the coming days as well.

President of the association Tejaswi Kumar, senior activist Sathyappa, Subrahmanya, Madappa and others were present. (MR/KS)
