Plea to ban release of movie ‘Sri Valmiki’

Mysuru, September 4:- Mysuru Nayakara Pade staged a protest in front of deputy commissioner’s (DC) office here on Tuesday demanding a ban on the release of a Telugu movie named ‘Sri Valmiki.’

The protesters said that the movie having the story of rowdism should not be allowed to be released in the name of Valmiki, who wrote the great Hindu epic, Ramayana. They said that the movie is said to be releasing on September 20, which doesn’t have any mythological characters is also misleading. They urged the movie team to immediately change the name of the movie.
