Mysuru, November 10:- Mysuru District Nayaka Yuvakara Sangha has requested Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to observe Madakari Nayaka jayanti as a government programme. The members of the association have submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Deputy Commissioner’s office here.
“The birth anniversary of Madakari Nayaka is observed on August 4 every year. Nayaka community members have been urging the state government for over two decades to observe Madakari Nayaka jayanti as a government programme. Government should respond to the plea of the community which has a population of over 70 lakh,” said the president of the association Paduvarahalli Ramakrishna.
