Plea to punish the guilty in Hathras case

Mysuru, October 6:- Condemning the rape and murder of a Dalit woman in Hathras of Uttar Pradesh, the Nagaraika Hakku Rakshana Samiti on Tuesday (October 6) demanded stringent punishment to all those accused of the heinous crime.

The protesters, who were protesting at the premises of Sri Rangacharlu Memorial Town Hall on Ashoka Road in the city, said “The perpetrators of the crime should be hanged. As in many countries, there should be stringent laws to punish rapists. If the guilty are not punished, it will only encourage them.”

NHRS’ president Govindaraju, Parvathamma, V Maniyamma, Ramakrishna, Manjunath, Puttamadu and Susheelamma were present during the protest. (MR/KS)
