Mysuru,September 23:- In the backdrop of farmers’ statewide protest slated for September 25, farmers leaders from Mysuru at a press conference on Wednesday (September 23) called for a united fight against the state and central governments.
Social activist P Mallesh said, “On September 25, we are going to block national and state highways. On September 28, farmers’ unions are planning a statewide bandh. Many farmers’ unions from Mysuru are extending their support to the bandh. The entre Mysuru district should come to a standstill which should send a strong message to the state government. All shops and business establishments should be closed in support of the bandh. The amendment to Farmland Act and APMC Act should be withdrawn. The anti-farmer B S Yediyurappa government should be shown the door. I request all the like-minded people to stand in support of the bandh call.” (MR/KS)
