Mysuru, July 14:- “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has helped people who were in need during the lockdown period. He distributed free ration to poor and provided loans to small and medium scale businesses,” said MP Pratap Simha at a press meet at Mysuru press club on Monday.
“The central government has done a lot of development work in the last one year. The government abrogated Article 370. The nation could uphold harmony even during Ayodhya verdict. The central government has announced a special financial package of Rs 20 lakh crore for self-reliant India,” he said.
“Not only the business sector, but the central government has also helped poor people as well. The Centre has distributed ration to 80 crore people of the country. The government distributed 5 kg rice, 1 kg dal, 2 kg wheat to BPL cardholders. The government distributed 5 kg rice to APL cardholders at Rs 15 per kg. Free gas was distributed for 3 months. The Prime Minister has announced free ration to the public till November. Loan amounts to small and medium businesses have also been increased,” he added.
