Sports News, June 3:- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met famed woman mountaineer Anshu Jamsenpa, who recently conquered Mt Everest for a record fifth time.
“Interacted with mountaineer Anshu Jamsenpa, who scaled Mount Everest twice in five days. Her passion towards mountaineering is commendable,” tweeted Prime Minister Modi.
The 37-year-old Indian climber last month made the fastest double ascent of Mount Everest and became the first woman to reach the highest point on earth twice in five days.
The 37-year-old mother of two had started her fifth ascent on May 19, climbing almost non-stop from Everest Base Camp at 17,500ft.
With her previous expeditions, she already held the record of being the only woman in the world to climb the top of the world’s tallest peak twice in a single season.
