PM Narendra Modi arrives in Washington DC on 4-day visit to USA

PM Modi to meet US Vice President Kamala Harris and top CEOs of American companies Thursday; to hold bilateral meetings with PMs of Australia and Japan

Prime News, National and International, Washington (USA), September 23:- Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Washington DC this morning (September 23) on a four-day visit to the United States of America.

Braving rain, hundreds of Indian community members gathered at the airport to welcome Modi. As the Prime Minister’s plane landed in Washington, exuberant members of the Indian diaspora started cheering.

Modi thanked the Indian community in Washington DC for the warm welcome.

In a tweet, he said, our diaspora is our strength. Modi said it is commendable how the Indian diaspora has distinguished itself across the world.

Modi will have a one-to-one meeting with the US Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday. They would explore areas of co-operation in science and technology.

Modi will interact with top CEOs of US companies from QUALCOMM, ADOBE, First Solar, Blackstone and General Atomics. He will also hold bilateral meetings with his Australian counterpart, Scott Morrison and the Japanese Premier Yoshihide Suga. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
