Police should take more initiative to solve problems of women: Nagalakshmi

Mysuru, August 16:- A progress review meeting of the Karnataka State Commission for Women was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Wednesday.

Chairperson of the commission Nagalakshmi Bai listened to the grievances of women.

“It is my first visit to Mysuru. Assault on women are on the rise in Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts. Mysuru has lesser assault cases compared to these districts. The police need to take initiative to solve such problems. Women often complain that police make them wait for the whole day and this should not happen,” she added.

Deputy Commissioner D Randeep and other officials were present.
