Police hold Dalit community meeting

Mysuru city police organised a meeting for Dalit community and heard their problems at Jyothi Youth Association Community Hall, Jyothinagar, on Sunday.

DCP, law and order, Mysuru police Dr Shekhar H T presided over the meeting. Books and writing materials were distributed to the students on the occasion.

Residents of the colony complained that illegal activities are taking place in the graveyard of the colony and the nearby hill and youth ride two wheelers with over speed and also do wheeling, causing problems to the pedestrians. DCP Shekhar ordered the police officials to look into the problems and solve the issues.

DCP of Crime branch, N Rudramuni, ACP of Devaraja division S Rajashekhar, Nazarbad police inspector M L Shekhar, Corporator of MCC S Swamy and more than hundred members of Dalit community were present.
