Mysuru, April 2:- Retired assistant commissioner of police M M Mahadevaiah called upon the police officials to work honestly without bowing to any pressure.
He was speaking after receiving guard of honour during Police Flag Day at CAR Grounds in the city organised by Karnataka Police Academy, Mysuru District Police, KSRP 5th wing and Police Training School.
“Karnataka Police Flag Day us observed since April 2, 1965 to recall the uniting of all wings of the state police. It is the responsibility of the department to honour the duty of the officials when they retire. Police officials work under pressure and at difficult situations. Retired police officials should be remembered and respected. Police department is becoming close to public with innovative programmes. The department has many youngsters and the technologies have also advanced. Make use of the technology to solve cases to help public,” he said.
Retired police officials M Siddamallappa, Syed Mugdam, Channabasavaraj, Murthy, Narayan, Vijay Kumar, of Alanahalli Police Station, V Mutturaj, Mahadevaiah, H R Raju, Eerappa of Nazarbad Police Station, V Puttamma, Basavaraje Urs of Kuvempunagar Police Station, Devapal of Saraswathipuram Police Station, DCP CAR Thammaiah, Kamalamma of VV Puram Police Station, were felicitated.
Nine contingents of the police department gave an impressive march past. Commissioner of Police K T Balakrishna handed over the flag to retired assistant commissioner of police M M Mahadevaiah.
Superintendent of Police Amit Singh, Director of Karnataka Police Academy Vipul Kumar, IGP of Police (Southern Range) Umesh Kumar, Police Training Academy principal Dharanidevi Malagatti and others were present. (KS, NGB)
