Mysuru, August 8:- As the number of pilgrims to Chamundi Hills is increasing every day, thanks to the month of Ashada, pickpockets are having a field day. The details given by the arrested thieves to the police are shocking.

K R Police had arrested pickpockets Junaid Khan and Syed Saqlain. Based on the information given by them, the police arrested two minor boys of 12 years age.

It is learnt that the team of thieves had six members, out of which two are minors. They were going to helipad by bike and to the temple by bus. They were making the kids enter the temple along with VIPs. Temple authorities used to let them inside the temple thinking they might have come with the VIPs. Later, they used to target potential victims and wack their wallets.  If they failed in their bid, they would inform their senior thieves who in turn would steal wallets and cell phones from the persons whom the little ones failed to target. They are said to be in this theft business for the last six months.

Meanwhile, the police have intensified the security at the hill temple. (MR/KS).
