One-day seminar to make the police department people-friendly held

Mysuru, December 14:- Mysuru City Police organised a one-day seminar to make the department people-friendly at the auditorium of the office of the Superintendent of Police on Saturday. IGP Vipul Kumar inaugurated the seminar.

“Police have to behave with the public with humility. People who had suffered in life come to police station to file a complaint. Police should not further affect their self-esteem. The police should offer them help,” he said.

“Earlier there were no receptionists in police stations. Now they have been appointed. They give proper information to the complainants. Police stations are getting upgraded. Beat police are visiting houses. If the public has any problem, they can share it with the police. We can prevent crime only with the cooperation of the people,” he added.

The police were trained about how they should behave with the public and respond to their complaints in time.
