Mysuru, May 27:- “Pourakarmikas of the city work ceaselessly to keep the city clean,” said additional commissioner of MCC, Raju. He was speaking after inaugurating a seminar on amenities to pourakarmikas at a private hotel on Saturday.
“Pourakarmikas should be provided with health benefits, insurance, and other facilities. Around 1303 pourakarmikas have been given identify cards. The roadside vendors are supposed to do business without disturbing the passersby,” he said.
“Pourakarmikas will be provided with Rs 1.5 lakh for construction of shops, Rs 3.5 lakh for a site and Rs 1 lakh for house construction,” he said.
