Mysuru, September 19:-Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Geetha Shishu Shikshana Sangha Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), organised a two-day practical workshop on ‘Python programming’ for 5th semester ‘A’ section students in city recently.
Python Programming Language is a high-level and interpreted programming language which was created by Guido Van Rossum in 1989. It was first released in 1991, which results in a great general purpose language capable of creating anything from desktop software to web applications and frameworks.
The presentation by resource person included the introduction to Python programming, lesson about strings, indexing, properties of strings, Tuple, dictionaries, POP, function and loops with respect to Python.
The workshop also included hands-on session on Python programming for concepts such as trace, diagonal, dot product, finding transpose, random variables.
The session ended with real time applications of Python programming for the students for their final year projects.
