Practice yoga to be strong mentally and physically: MLA

Mysuru, September 25:- Yoga competition was held at the premises of Kote Anjaneya temple here in the city as part of the Dasara on Sunday. Hundreds of enthusiastic children took part in the competition and showcased their skills. MLA M K Somashekar inaugurated the competition.

“Yoga is essential for a healthy life. To keep oneself active, one has to practice yoga on a regular basis. Yoga has the strength to keep one’s mind steady,” he said.

Around 300 participants had enrolled for the competition. The competition was held in 8 separate categories for boys and girls. First prize was Rs 2,000 followed by Rs 1,500 and Rs 1,000 for 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.

Ramya, Yamuna, Siddappa, Susheela Sundar Raj, Shivanna, Eshwar, and others were present. (MR/KS).
