Mysuru, October 12:- “One can be more active and healthy by practising yoga regularly,” said Titular king of Mysuru, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar.
He was speaking after inaugurating Akhila Bharatiya Pratinidhi Mandal Baithak at Senate Bhavan of the University of Mysore on Saturday.
“Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar gave emphasis to health for all. He started hospitals and healthcare centres during his rule. Yoga is getting popular everywhere due to its benefits. It keeps you active throughout the day,” he added.
“To achieve anything, a sound body is the pillar. If we keep our body fit and strong, our mind will also be fine. Gandhiji once said that he wanted to live for 120 years for the sake of the society,” said Vice-Chancellor of the UoM Prof G Hemanth Kumar.
Seer Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji of Suttur Mutt, national president of Arogya Bharati Dr Arun Baviskar, general secretary Dr Sunil Joshi and others were present. (MR/KS)
