President Kovind arrives in Bengaluru; CM Bommai accords warm welcome

Prime News, National, Karnataka, Bengaluru, October 6:- President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Bengaluru today (October 6) on a three day tour of the state. During the visit, President Kovind will visit Chamarajanagar and Chikkamagaluru districts.

Tomorrow afternoon (October 7), the President is scheduled to inaugurate the newly built 450 bedded Government Teaching Hospital of the Institute of Medical Sciences in Chamarajanagar district. Governor of Karnataka Thawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar will be present on the occasion.

The President is also paying a visit to Sri Biligiriranganathaswamy Temple situated on B R Hills. It is believed that Lord Rama and Lakshmana worshipped God Ranganathaswamy here while searching for matha Seetha.

On the last day of his tour, the President will visit Sri Sharada Peetha and Shankara Advaita Research Centre in the holy town of Sringeri in Chikkamagaluru district. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
