Mysuru, December 15:- The protest by the employees including the priests of Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hill over various demands entered the second day here on Saturday.
The priests and staffs are on an indefinite strike. They said that they would not withdraw their protests unless their demands are fulfilled.
Special offerings at the temple have been stopped. Devotees are allowed to see the deity though they are not getting prasadam at the temple. Devotees who have come from far off places are unable to fulfill their wishes. Many of the devotees who come to the temple unaware of the protest are returning home disappointed.
Employees of 24 temples, including Chamundeshwari Temple, Mahabaleshwara Temple and Uttanahalli Jwalamukhi Temple are taking part in the protest. (MR/KS)
