“There are hundreds of heritage buildings in the city. It is our responsibility to save those. If anybody plans to construct a building near such heritage buildings, they should submit the map of the project to the MCC and heritage committee to get permission,” said Deputy Commissioner D Randeep.
He was speaking at a meeting held at the DC office on Wednesday.
“Heritage buildings have made the city beautiful. Those building should not be harmed. This meeting has been called to preserve those buildings,” he added.
The DC also gave permission to the proposed Congress building near the railway station. He instructed the proposed nursing related building near Big Bazaar on J LB road and a building near the Jaganmohan Palace to solve several mistakes prevailing in the proposal.
MUDA commissioner Mahesh, MUDA officer Shashikumar, MCC official Venugopal, Director of heritage buildings Gavisiddaiah and others were present.
