Private transport vehicles prohibited in Mysuru

Mysuru, March 24:- Commissioner of Police Dr Chandragupta has said that it is essential to take further necessary steps to prevent the spreading of coronavirus in the district.

He said that keeping in mind the well-being of the public, the movement of private transport vehicles has been prohibited in the city.

The police commissioner said that public travelling in private vehicles sitting next to each other might aggravate the situation and therefore, private vehicles will be prohibited according to the Motor Vehicle Act, column 115 in Mysuru city jurisdiction.

He said that private buses, Tempo Travellers, maxi cabs, Tata Magic, Tata Winger, autorickshaw and other transport vehicles are not permitted to commute from March 23 to March 31. (MR/KS)
