Mysuru, November 13:- Retired professor of Earth Science Department of University of Mysore, Prof Mahesh Bilwa (64) died of a severe heart attack at his residence near Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Circle (Highway Circle) in the city at around 9 pm on Tuesday.
The professor is survived by his wife Usha and son Rakesh Bilwa, assistant professor at NIE College, Mysuru.
He worked as the assistant vice-chancellor of the University of Mysore and fulfilled other academic responsibilities. His final rites were held on Wednesday (Nov 14). (MR/KS)
