Prostitution racket busted; 2 women arrested

Mysuru, February 28:- Mysuru City Crime Branch (CCB) Police carried out a raid on a house in Metagalli Police Station limits and busted a prostitution racket on Tuesday. The police arrested two women who were running the centre and rescued a woman.

The arrested have been identified as Lakshmi, wife of Mahesh of Ningaiahna Kere of Kumbarakoppal and Suvarna, wife of Ravi of Gandhi Nagar. The police covered Rs 2,210 in cash and four cell phones. They also rescued a woman. House owner Mahadevanna is on the run and police are in search of him. Metagalli Police has registered a complaint and investigations are on.

The operation was led by CCB ACP C Mariyappa and carried out by Inspector Kiran, Metagalli Police Inspector B G Raghavendra, staff Ramaswamy, Chikkanna, M R Ganesh, Rajendra, Niranjan, Chamundamma and Gowtham. (MR/KS).
