Prostitution racket busted in Hinkal; three women rescued

Mysuru, April 20:- Mysuru City Central Crime Branch (CCB) Police along with Vijayanagar Police raided a residence at Revenue Layout in Hinkal based on a confirmed information of a prostitution racket and arrested three accused and rescued three women.

The arrested have been identified as Chandana, 35, a resident of Lakshmikanthnagar, Mahadevaswamy, 21 of Kuvempunagar and Mahadevaswamy alias Madesha, 21, a native of Talluru village. They were arrested on April 17. The police have recovered Rs 6,950 and seven cellphones from the accused.  Vijayanagar Police have registered a complaint.

The operation was guided by DCP Mahaninga B Nandagavi, CCB ACP B R Lingappa and carried out by CCB Police Inspector K K Ramakrishna, Santhosh, CCB ASI Javaregowda, Nagubai, Krishnegowda, Shivaraju, Manjula and Manjunath. (KS, NGB)
