Protest staged against Centre’s anti-farmer policies

Mysuru, August 10:- Centre of Indian Trade Unions staged a protest on Thursday against Centre’s anti-farmer and anti-labour policies.

The protesters who gathered in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office here, said that the assurances of ‘Acche Din’ have long gone and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lied, saying it would deposit Rs 15 lakh in the accounts of every citizen. They alleged that the government is not providing support price for crops. They also hit out at intermittent hike in fuel prices which has hit the common man hard.

District president of Karnataka Prantha Raitha Sangha Chikkannegowda, district general secretary Jagadish Surya, CITU district president N K Balaji Rao and others were present. (MR/GK).
