Protest staged against rise in petrol, diesel prices

Prime News, National, Fuel, Finance, Mysuru, January 28:- Mysuru Samana Manaskara Vedike activsts staged a protest near Gandhi Square on Thursday (January 28), condemning the steep hike in prices of petrol and diesel.

Sitting in a tonga, the protesters shouted slogans against the Centre. They said, “Hike in prices of petrol, diesel, LPG cylinders and daily commodities will have a telling effect on the common man. Poor people are left to struggle for day-to-day commodities. The Centre should try and control rising prices and come to the rescue of the common man.

The Mysuru Cooperative Bank vice president Paduvarahalli M Ramakrishna, vedike convener Vontikoppal Gururaj, J Yogesh, C Revanna, V Madhu, M M Swaroop, S R Ravikumar, M S Madesh, S Shivakumar Gowda, Sa Ra Arun Kumar, Kythamaranahalli R Yogesh and Vasanthkumar were present. (MR/KS)
