Protest against suspension of BSNL tender-based employees

Mysuru, April 5:- Karnataka State BSNL Non-permanent Employees’ Association members staged a protest against the suspension of tender based employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), here on Thursday.

The protesters, who gathered in front of BSNL office at Jayalakshmipuram in the city, said that 60 tender-based employees have been suspended from work who were employed at Mysuru and Chamarajanagar. Officials are saying that they don’t need the employees anymore. Though there is a rule to suspend juniors if there is a need, it has been clearly violated here. The employees should be taken back, the protesters said.

Ramalingu, Mahendra and others were present. (MR/KS).
