Mysuru, November 28:- Former Congress MLA of Krishnaraja Constituency MK Somashekar led a protest against Bharatiya Janata Party for making the disqualified MLAs their candidates even after the Supreme Court upheld their disqualification. He accused BJP of mocking democracy, the Constitution of India and the Supreme Court.
The protesters, who had gathered in front of Dr B R Ambedkar statue at Town Hall premises on Ashoka Road here, said that the central government should respect the Constitution and alleged that the BJP government misused the office of the President and Governor. They called BJP having a mindset of governing without an Opposition and asked BJP leaders to wake up at least now.
They urged Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to govern respecting the Constitution of India. They said that BJP can do anything for power as it dropped the investigation of corruption charges against NCP leader Ajit Pawar. They alleged BJP of misusing autonomous bodies for power. They said the Supreme Court taught BJP a lesson for trying to grab power in Maharashtra.
